Default rechargeable mrc rtr Tx.?

i have an extra nimh 1100mah 7.2v. Would this be too much voltage/mah for my radio?
it requires only 6v stock, 4 AA's

You would be fine, regular alkaline batteries (D, C, AA, AAA) are 1.5 volts DC nominally, thus a new set of 6 ~=9 volts DC.
Some radios are picky when the volts drop, try it & see.
