yes it can on a 2.2 sized rig, but watch the heat carefully at first. You will need to gear the rig as slow as possible to prevent bad startups.

The rig I am using it on will not be for crawling..Will be running on flat surfaces for the most part and some decent hills at the truck show Picked up the motor due to its small size and perfect fit for my 1/14 tractor and trailer project.... Alfy |

just watch the heat then, you are likely the first to try this combo in such a rig.

yeah I figured... It wont be as strenuous as it would be using it on a crawling rig though I would think.. Maybe the sidewinder would work better? Just looking for an inexpensive ESC to run the motor without issues

any opinions on a sidewinder being more of a safe bet for the revolver?

yes the 1/10 sidewinder would definitely be a safer bet and they can be found in the classifieds for $50-60 all day

Sidewinder and SV2 ? Both?..Would the original work just as well as the SV2? Last edited by CLODZ_72_2003; 09-27-2011 at 09:49 AM.

The sidewinder has more thermal mass, so it will work without worry. Either the original or the SV2 is a good choice.

ok guys decided with a sv2 from cc....I noticed the revolver motor has red, blue and black motor wires, whereas the sv2 has red, white and black connectors so its red to red, black to black and white to blue? dont want to fry it so I just want to be sure Alfy |

The order/colours of the wires don't matter with a sensorless motor. If it's wrong it'll just spin in the wrong direction. If that happens just switch any 2 wires and it will rotate the correct way. |
