I have not used either charger, my son & I run Venom ProChargers....no issues but cost a bit more.

I agree, there are a few chargers (on the low end of the price scale) that seem to be well received. Hey, if they work and people are happy, go for it!

Price does not always = quality/performance.

Except when it comes to Hyperion chargers that is . I would really like to buy the EOS 0720i Super Duo3 Dual charger! Baddest mofo I've ever seen! I had an Great Planes/Electrifly Triton charger that I love (still have it in fact), but it's just a tad before the "Lipo Balancing" days, it can charge them, as I've been told, yet has no way to balance the cells, therefore no good for my Lipos. I'll still use it for everything else though. It's never failed me! But the Hyperion is my 'holy grail'. It shall be mine, oh yes, it shall be mine!

Good point, but when it comes to the potential to lose your house and all your belongings (and possibly more) to a Lipo charging-caused fire. That helps me not to feel so bad about dropping the extra coin on well-established; tried and proven chargers and battery equipment. Just sayin'. It may be just me, but that's my $0.02.

Do they even have the capability of discharge? I don't recall seeing an onyx that does.

I just upgraded my charger to a Powerlab pl8.. loving it!!

Faast charging, and even faster balancing. Right now ive just paralell charged 4 batteries (5s 5000) with a total of 14000mah's in 20 min... And thats a balance charge.. :-)

And it discharges up to 100w ..

UPDATE: I ended up getting the Hyperion EOS 0720i Super DUO 3 charger. This thing is absolutely sick! Capable of up to 1000 watts and charges two packs at once! This machine and I are going to be great friends! It has an amazing feature set. Let the learning begin!
