Sounds to me like it lost bind with the receiver. Rebind it, and it should work.

2.4ghz 4ch fhss receiver -
2.4ghz pistol remote control -

I dont really know the brand or model number but this is the radio below.
It is from a RTR kit, Probably explains why im having issues...

Transmitter (2.4G)

Receiver (2.4G)

I tested the receiver with my ohms meter and im getting continuity or power with the esc plugged into the receiver. So im thinking its gotta be just outta connection to the radio...

I have no clue on the radio. I can't see how "leaving it on until the batteries were dead" hurt anything except killing the batteries.
Are you sure you put the new ones in correctly (stupid question, but I have to ask....)?
Do you get any lights on the TX or RX?

Your manual should state how to rebind/relink the TX to the RX.

Ya I got it working, but I am having the same issue again...For some reason its not syncing though now. I think I'll just have to look at it tonight with a fresh set of eyes.

do you have another receiver of the same brand you can try?

start from scratch, take every thing off the receiver, batteries out of the radio. then start like you just go the radio.

I don't have another receiver. I thought of getting another but at the cost of getting another, I've been contemplating on getting a new 3ch. radio as well.

Ya the only time I ever have this issue is when I'm tinkering with the receiver and the servo plugs. I was trying to figure out a way to make my front servo to go in the opposite direction. After doing some searching, I figured out if I do the swamp inside wires then I can run this new setup.

Noob Question, Is it bad to unplug or plug in the servo plugs into the receiver while its in the on position?

Thanks

Ok my replacement receiver finally showed up. It got shipped from Cali to New York then finally to Chicago... Stupid....Anyways, started hooking things up and the receiver isn't getting any response from the esc. My new thought is that the esc fried. It did do a little herky-jerky right before all this happened. Im thinking that somehow one of the wires from the esc got pulled out of the plug, so i snipped the plug and installed an extra servo plug that I had laying around. Still nothing. SO this leads me to think that the esc is fried. When turning on the esc i still get the doh ray mee sound, it just doesnt turn on any of the lights or make any addition noises when connected into the new or old receiver. Ill have to do some more research on a new esc in the morning. Im currently running a 7.4v stick pack with the stock 540 brushed 60T Motors, and my new FS-GT3B Radio & Receiver.
Can I upgrade my esc without upgrading my motors too? Though I'd like to update them both. But im sure that im pretty limited to certain modifications running my stick pack. I've been looking into hooking up a castle bec to help give my truck a boost. but im still learning , only been in the hobby a year or so now.

Thanks guys for the help.

You can mix & match ESC's & motors, just as long as they "match" (brushless motors need a brushless capable ESC, brushed motors need a brushed capable ESC).

As to running your stick pack, it's like a 2S LiPO in terms of voltage, if the ESC can handle 2S your stick pack is fine.

Did you calibrate the ESC to the new RX yet?????

Calibrate the ESC to the new RX???

Is this what your talking about?

Does this even matter since i cant even get power to go to the rx?

I'm looking at :

Novak Rooster Crawler Reversible Electronic Speed Control.
Compatible with single and dual Brushed motor crawler applications
such as a single 27-turn motor or dual 35-55-turn lathe motors.
Can I still run my 60T motors even though they say 35-55 Turn?

FEATURES: Two specific crawling driver profiles that feature zero reverse delay
and high-powered drag brakes (or "hill or "hold" brakes)
Built-in LiPo cut-off protection prevents batteries from going below
the critical safety voltage level
User replaceable input harness
Heavy duty 6V/5A BEC
Radio priority and polar drive circuitry
High-efficiency heat sink
Power output for optional 6V fan
Water resistant case
Thermal overload protection

This seems like it would be compatible.

The 55t limit is when you have dual motors. But for single motor 27t is the lowest you can run. No maximum turn count though. No problems.
