Default Running batteries in parllel

I am kinda a noob at battery and electronics so i just want to confirm what i was thinking. If i was to take 2 small 150mah 7.4v packs and run them parallel as a small saddle pack that would give me a 300mah 7.4v pack correct? Just asking because it works out better for what i am dooing than one large pack but i want the runtime of the 300 mah. Thanks

You are correct in your assumption.

If you ran them in series, you would have 14.8 volts @ 150mah.

Not to thread jack, but does this also double your C-rating?

No, that is due to the battery's chemistry and cell contruction. So two 40C packs in parallel are still 40C.

This doesn't make much sence to me. I was positive it would double the C rating. I don't see how it wouldn't. Each pack would have to work half as hard to have the same output as one, no?

one at 150mah 10c would be 1.5a
Two at 150mah 10c would be 3a (300mah at 10c. this is what you say is correct)
Two at 150mah 10c would be 6a (300mah at 20c. This is what I see as correct)

nope, c rating stays the same regardless. running them in parallel will double the amps, but that's due to the capacity

Hello

"Two at 150mah 10c would be 300mah at 10c". YES
But disconect the 2 packs iff they are not in use for more than a few days..
due to different temperatures and different cells can be discharged the batteries

LIPO Packs C rating in parallel

this explaines why the c rating stays the same.
