Default motor/esc problems

i have a 27T monster stock motor in my TLT, and a GM V4R esc. after a few minutes it cant take it anymore and anytime it meets any resistance (like a wall) it shuts down, getting hot and not doing anything.

also how often should i cut the comm or brushes on the stocker? its rather old, and no comm cuts yet. might this be my problem?

at the moment i have a p2kpro2 stock 27t motor in my rockbuster and i have the same prob but only when my batts get low like it just sops even when i hit it at full throttle, so batt strength could be part of it, and about the motor being but, how long have you had it and used it and have you ever changed the brushes?
