| anyone still using brused motors????
i have been playing with brushed motors for years.. wound thousands at my stint at the motor room in trinity.. now i have lathes and dynos colecting dust. my question is.. as far as the brushless go. they seem great for racing so far havent had a rotor comeapart but if u reallt load these up will they handle the heat and stress as well?? this was an ongoing debate betwen me and my friend last week.. so i ask what your opinion is...

most crawlers still used brushed motor, I have one of 4 rigs that is brushless. Brushed motors work great for scalers as they do well in water and muddy situations if you clean them. where a brushless motor i the same situation would have problems because of the sensor required to not get cogging on most crawlig systems. I still prefer brushed over brushless because I know brushed motors fairly well. |

brushed motors in my XR10 crawler, fine at (very) low speed. Brushless in my eRevo, speed, fast, no slow driving. |

Definately brushed in all my crawlers except for the Losi MRC. Brushless in everything else. |

I only run brushed (although a small brushless may be in my MRC's future). This includes my 12th & 10th pan cars. Sensored brushless is gaining some traction in crawlers, but they are more geared to faster vehicles. |

On my on road cars , I must have the brushless but for crawling ....Brushed is the way to go. But I must admit I want the sensored brushless for my scaler soon as ..Maybe may try the HH hand motor next before the brushless. |
