| Servo mounting standard
All, I've searched around here and the outside internet briefly. Are there standards defined for the mounting hole pattern for servos? It seems to me there are a few different sizes, but that most within a given size appear to have the same mounting pattern. Is this true? Or does it just LOOK like it? If they're standardized, can someone please give me the dimensions? |

There are a few sizes used, micros, minis, standard, giant, etc. If you look at ServoCity.com, look up a HiTec 7955 which is a "standard" sized servo. It will be the same for most of the servos we use (with the exception of the mini as a steering servo on a MRC 1.9). I believe ServoCity has all the dimensions listed, otherwise try the HiTec site. |

I don't think there is an exact standard for servos in a given class. I have all different makes of "standard" servos and they all seem to have a very slightly different spacing in the mounts. A lot of the servo mounts are slotted to accommodate the variance in size.

Thanks for the quick replies! I'm trying to make up a bracket to mount the steering servo to my front axle while I'm still at work. I forgot all the parts I need at home | |
