Default fxr capacitor question?

Does the capacitor have to be soldered directly to the esc or can i solder it to the battery leads coming off the esc? Also the stock cap broke so i bought one from radio shack for the time being it says 1000uf 35v it should be fine to use right?

Are you running dual fxr's?

I would recommend soldering to the esc so that they are out of the way.
