Are you certain it's the battery? You can take it out of the truck and be 100% sure it's battery?

Yes it is definitley the battery, If I pick the truck up to release the load it stops, and runs okay, but as soon as I put it under load it starts to hiss or crackle again, I think it could be a bad connection in the battery or a shorted cell, has anyone ever had this problem? Regards JOHN.

Most likely you have a damaged cell. Over heating can cause them to split or crack or just plain go bad causing the hissing noise you have.

Are you sure that the servo is 'shorting out' and not just fighting the resistance of your load? When put under load, servos make noise, especially digital servos.

It was a speed controller fault ,the BEC rating was too low,not allowing enough power to the servo,Thanks
