Question Best Brushed motor?

so i just burnt up my 35t Novka rockstar motor. i was on a hard bind and it wouldn't go and all off a sudden it started smoking. i think it's because i had too big of gears on it (set up for speed) and i just put 2.2's on it (i don't think it was the smartest move) but i but the gears back for crawling

so i think it's done for. enless i can fix it?

but now i'm thinking about getting a new motor

here's my setup
87 tooth spur gear w/ 14 tooth motor gear
1.9 scaler
3s lipo batteries
FXR Tekin
CC 10 amp BEC
425 Oz futaba servo

but what's the best motor for my setup?

you clearly dont mind $$$, go for a tekin or novak brushless system like the Goat 3s. i know you said brushed, but if you havent used brushless id check it out. otherwise like said abaove, a crawl or torque master is best.

Whats wrong with the motor? Smoke from the motor isn't necessarily a death sentence. If your just wanting a new motor then you can't go wrong with the HH or a brood.

^^^absolutely^^^ The Torquemaster pro would prolly be your best bet for a shafty. Handwound, of course, FTW!

As you know, smoke "may" not be the end, but the winding insulation is hammered and will likely fail the next time. Also, heat is hard on magnets (although a bind is usually not enough to overheat the magnets).

So the motor may not be dead, but it's not as good as it was.
