hope this helps someone in the future when they search hobbyking before ordering. placed a order for 81.85 , charger and some batts. got charges on my card from them for 82.50 one day and 81.85 the following day for a total of 164.45 after 5 days trying to contact them by phone with no answer and "chatting" with 4 or 5 customer service reps.a day. with there only responses being pre made answers. finally got the order cancelled, still no one could tell me about the charge of 82.50 only that a billing rep would e-mail me back(still havn't heard a peep) got the 81.85 stopped before it cleared the bank, guess i'm just S.O.L. on 82 bucks did some web searching and found this to be very common with them and others have been gotten(alot). searched on here before i order and did not see bad postings only that there battery prices were great. you might pay more ordering from other U.S. base companies but you stand the chance of losing money with nothing in return lesson learned beware |

over 25 orders with hobbyking in the past 3-4 months for me (even more then that for my buddy that got me on the hobbyking bandwagon), never had an issue. I hope your situation gets sorted out and if you could report back with what the problem was that would be great. I also only use PayPal when buying from them. |

I sorta had the same thing happen. I ordered something and it said one amount of shipping and them i went to check out and it said more shipping? I dont know but they seem pretty shady. Be wary!

Been dealing with Hobby King for years, bought 3 chargers and 30+ lipo's from them. The only problem I ever had was a bad soder joint on a lipo after a couple cycles. Paid for faster shipping once and got it 4 days faster. Now I just order and forget about it for a week and then it shows up 3-4 days later. I use traxxas connectors on everything and currently trying out there knock off's and so far love them. Easier to assemble and plug/unplug. |

If you used a charge card, why not report a claim for both charges?

+1 on using paypal. i've heard quite a few stories of people having things like this happen when using their credit or debit cards, but never paypal. hobbyking knows if they screw with paypal they will be the ones getting screwed!

One of my mates was nailed same as you have been. They charged him 4 times for a total of AUD$200+ and that was using paypal. He's currently in a sh*t fight with Paypal & Hobbyking to try and get his money back.

Me personaly, I've never had good luck ordering from places like hobby king. Not only just for rc parts. I tend to stay away from places like that, then I don't have to worry about it. I always use paypal and I normaly don't order from out of the us and I don't order normaly if I can't talk to an actual person. Sorry to hear you had problems.
