So my wives uncle gave me a few old school motors from his racing days when we seen him last. Out of them all he gave me 2 that he spoke well of one is an epic can with roar91 Japan on the shaft side of motor. The other is a tamiya dynatech 01r and I have to say its an odd looking motor to me,has anyone had any experience with the tamiya? Nathan |

A few mins on google had an answer about the tamiya motor; Vintage Tamiya Dynatech 01R data and description They are a weird motor, but are pretty cool for a vintage tamiya go-fast build. The Epic sounds like an old stock motor or the like... |

I never ran one, it was before my time, so i can't comment on how they run. But I'm pretty sure they need a special tool to change the weird ass brushes they use. Being a 19t & going by the specs on the website i linked it should have ok pep. At least new brushes etc are fairly easy to get off ebay for them if you intend to run it. You're right they seem to go for a pretty penny for NIB ones though. |
