VXL-3s ?

I have a vxl-3s that is giving me trouble. Every time I hook up a lipo it runs for 1 minute or so then goes into low voltage shutdown. If I run it with out low voltage mode on works fine. Any help would be nice.

Sounds like it may be your battery and its charge or maybe your ESC is shutting down thermal protection. Is the ESC getting warm at all? I would just make sure your VXL is running with the LVC ON and then make sure your LiPo is charged correctly and that all the cells are balanced so the ESC can operate properly. Good luck. To me it seems more like a battery issue.

I used to have the same problem when running a 3s 5000mah battery. I switched to a 2s 5000mah battery and the problem went away.

For some reason my vxl-3s couldn't handle the 3s.
Maybe this could be your answer.

Yup it might be the type of discharge ur 3s is I own plenty VXL 3S and never had a problem. I normally use a 40c 2S 5.2 turnigy lipo with the lipo cut off and it give me the most power I run a castle creation SCT with the 4pole 3800kv and 5700KV. Just my .02

What mah and C are the batteries your using? If your using small and/or low C packs the voltage drop will do that, cold doesn't help.

I ran it with the same 3s 1800 30c batteries all summer with no problems. It was 75 outside this fall when I first noticed the problem, today was 45. It does it with 2s also.

What's the amperage and C rating on the 2s? That 1800, 30c pack probably just causes it to go in safe mode. I've run a 5000mAh 20/30 2s Venom and a 4400mAh 45/90c 3s Thunder Power in my VXL Pede without issue as well as a 1800mAh 65/130c 2s TP pack in my 1/10 VXL powered Fiesta with no problems...........other than traction and overall driveability problems related to high hp, short wb, and in the case of my Pede, high cg
