I personally had lipos forever. Never had charge issue. Sack yes or I use a gun ammo case. Have a hole for plug to fit thru. I even store lipos in there . So if something happens its in metal box lol.

I bought a lipo bag when I switched over just this month, for less than $10 it is cheap insurance. I store all of them in there, actually makes it nice because all of the batteries are all together and in a nice easy to carry pouch at all times.

Yes and yes. Better to have it and not need it... X2 on the ammo box. I use one as well for storage.

Only issue I've ever had with lipos was my fault. Just pay attention when dealing with em and you'll be good.

Funny you guys mention ammo box, I was actually just looking at one that I had sitting here under the bench but wasn't sure if the thing would turn into an explosive case.
Thanks again for the replies.
I'll have another question in a while I'm sure.

I charge my lipo in an old pot. It was interesting explaining that to my boy.... I've been running lipos for a few weeks (am new to it too) and am a happy camper. They're so much smaller, and lighter.

I have an AX-10 RTC with the stock ESC. I plugged it into my computer with a CastleLink cable and I was able to set the cutoff voltage. I set it at 6v (that's what the pack requires). I don't know if you can do this with any ESC; I'm not sure. Prior to my changing the cutoff to 6v, I think it was at 5.1v, which is below my pack's requirements.

But like I said, I'm new to lipo; I feel like there are things I have yet to learn.

This is the size I run as well, and I get about 40 minutes. I see some of you guys running these huge 4000mAh batteries and wonder where you hide them.

And go 3s!! I picked up some 4s batteries that I want to try out because the 3s doesn't pack enough punch...scalers get heavy.

I use a bit of both. I used to charge only in the garage on the concrete floor. Then I started in the basement with me there but again on the concrete floor. Now I have a large sack that I charge and store in.

Not easy to hide but nice for ballast weight sometimes. Mmp+pro4=puffed snicker packs. I had to go bigger for more amperage and had some 2s5000's from the slash. Agreed 3s is more fun tho

Ammo box, large coffee can (with a piece of metal covering it) or a LiPO sack. I usually charge on my concrete basement floor.

As to storing ALL my packs in a LiPO sack, my issue is that if one goes, they ALL go!!

I would get a couple of sacks or metal cans.

3S 5000's! One in the truck, one in the pocket and I'm good for an entire afternoon of trail running . I don't miss carrying around a half dozen nimh packs out on the trails. Go lipo and don't look back!
