Default POS FlySky GT-3B or POS FXR ??? SOLVED !!

So I have an unhacked Flysky GT-3B and 2 FX-R ESCs. The common denominator of my problem is of course the GT-3B. I do not remeber having this problem when I only had one vehicle programmed.

On both ESCs - the GT-3B cannot consistently find neutral. I have binded the receiver several times. Calibrated the ESC at least 20 times. ESC trims at 0 and EPAs at 100%. When I drive either vehicle I am CONSTANTLY adjusting trim to keep the vehicle from creeping off. I dont mean every 20 - 30 mins. I mean every 5-10 seconds when sitting still.

I have even installed Tekin Hotwire and set the neutral bandwith at 90 - no good. set it at 50 - no good. set it at 20 - no good.

I can LITERALLY touch the trigger with a feather - yes - I have tried it and the vehicle jumps and moves. Yes - you read that right. A feather.

GT-3B TX/RX trash - or FXRs trash? I kinda doubt its the FXRs.

I do not have another radio to try. Again - when I just had the XR10 - I dont remember having this problem at all. But now with 2 vehicles - they both act the same.

Any suggestions. By the way - I've been running rc cars, trucks and helis for 20 years. Just never used a $35 radio to control them.

IT WAS THE POS FLYSKY!!

Try your other radio and also try plugging the ESC into the steering channel or 3rd channel. Calibrate as usual and see if you have similar issues or not. Try to narrow down the problem, my guess would be that it is in the radio...It would be odd to have two FXR's have this same problem at exactly the same time. If I had to pick something I would say it could be a bad throttle pot that is not consistent, that would cause the problems you are seeing...If that is the case and you are out of warranty you could probably source a new pot and that would fix the problem.

As stated in my original post - I do not have another radio.

I will plug the servo into the throttle position and see what happens.

Thanks.

Hey dude sucks that you are having those problems. I havent had anything wrong with the gt3b so dont hate it yet haha. Maybe ask losikid since he made the hack, he should know much more about it and should set you straight.

Frank, my radio has not been hacked.

Using 2 different RXs. Odd thing is - when I just had the XR10 - I never noticed a problem

It's the GT3b. I can't remember the reason, but 2 esc's won't work with it. Hack it and it will work fine.

Remembered what it was. The third channel on the stock Gt3b was made for a brake servo. It only works in one direction(ie Brake off to brake on and back).
