Default Type's of lipo's?

I have a r/c airplane, and I have a 14.8V 2200mah 25C,I know its a bit much but my question is....I have looked at batterys for planes and cars, and for some reason the lipo for the planes are cheaper than the car lipo's,is there any reason for this? or is it just a marketing thing? Also my plane gets about 10-15 flight time and that includes take off and landing, how come i'm reading about 30-75 minute run times with trail runs?

There are a few reasons in LiPO prices.

1-The car packs are likely hard case packs, this makes it harder to damage them during a crash.
2-Different brands can cost different amounts.
3-As to run time, most crawlers use fairly high turn motors, they tend to draw a bit less in amps compared to an electric airplane motor. Couple that with the airplane is usually running at high throttle settings a lot of the time.

my friends and i run the 7.2v E-flite soft lipo packs in our crawlers... all lipo's have their risks doesnt matter if its in the air or on the ground they all puff out.

like what was said above me, crawlers use a high turn motor and require less power. i have friends that crawl, race short course trucks and fly planes.
