Default HH 35t Expert 540 Brushed Motor

Is anyone running the 35t expert motor in their SCX? i am thinking of buying one today and I am curious as to what you all think. Should i spring a few extra bucks and get a hand wound one? I am interested in starting to run some G6 events and want something good. Right now I have the SV2 ESC in but as soon as I find a good deal on a FXR I am going to change it up. thanks

If you're not going to run it through mud and water all the time, go for it. If you are, pick something cheaper because it will get destroyed, or find something to cover the motor with to keep it clean.

Why replace the V2? They are perfectly good crawling esc's...

I'd keep the SV2 also...Castle controllers are so much easier to deal with...and on a scaler you should have plenty of room for its larger footprint. What Duuuuuuuude said about mud and water is right...if that's your plan you definitely don't need a handwound...and a cheap machine wound would do the job. The HH Expert motors are actually pretty nice. I've ran two comp rigs with them and was impressed with how smooth they are. They have great wheel speed too.

With that said...it's up to you...AND we have the Expert motors in stock

I try not to sink it in water but I have seen what happens in those G6 events and it looks like water is inevitable (sp?). Thanks for the suggestions i think i willstick to the machine wound.
