| Quick (simple?) question
Ok, so I'm trying to understand some of these wiring diagrams. the one thing I dont understand, is how can the Rx work without power to the the BATT connection? For example, if the only hot wire going to the Rx is coming from the ESC, and the servo power is coming from the BEC, with the signal from the Rx, how does the Rx work? Is the voltage in the Rx parallel? All pos. and neg. connections effectively soldered together, and the signals coming from their assigned channels? please explain why I don't need to have the battery connected directly to the Rx. |

Exactly. The receivers Positive and Negative pins in each connector including the BAT connector are all connected in parallel. That is to say all the Positives are connected together and all the Negatives are connected together. The ESC's built in BEC sends regulated +5 or +6 volts (or whatever it was designed to do) down the red wire (relative to the black wire) and that gets distributed to the other items by the pins in the receiver. | |
