Default no drag break

so for the first time in almost a year i pulled my axial bassed crawler out, been playing with the scalers to much to give this one love. when i put it away every thing worked fine except the DNA dig was on its way out (inners started to round over)

any way after a few min i noticed that the rig would roll a few inches befor stopping, then about 10 min later the DB wouldnt hold at all, just let the thing roll (altho very slowly)

plug the fxr into the hot wire, every thing good there, radio is all good, brushes in the motor are good, com is in decent shape. battery is fully charged (3s) so im guess the magnets in the motor are on the way out? my guess is just from age? but when i give it power the thing has tones of torque and wheel speed, just like i remember it. motor is a tekin pro 35t HW, its probably ohh 2.5 -3 years old or so, but realistically has maybe 20 hours of actual run time on it.

just thought i would post to see if there is somthing i missed befor ordering up a new motor

two things you can try, make sure the brushes are clean and not sticking just a bit in the brush hood... at the same time make sure the brush hoods are not bent/dinged. lastly, replace the brush springs... this is most likely the problem IMHO.

Rebuild the motor....maybe stiffer springs.

20+ hours is well above the the rebuild time.......

The fact its been sitting for a year could of distorted the comm too.
