|  wanting to get out...
well im new to this im 55 and not dumb i got 6 nitro trucks and 4 airplanes well i bought a crawler .its got a 55t motor in it im not sure how new looks brand new.well i bought a novak eiger esc and hooked it yup.run it for ten minutes brought it back to chk it out up in smoke it went ...well i bought another one the saME THING HAPPENED!!!!its got a 7.4 5000 mah 30c battery 55t motor and the esc.i checked everything out twice but im tired of looseing 160 bucks down the tube now...what could be wrong !!!motor???please help im p-----d off!!!!!  |

Well you spelled dumb correctly Ill give you that. Have you been checking the motor temps rigorously so you know your gearing is correct? Hot motors put a lot of strain on the esc and fry them out. I learned the hard way. Other than that if there's no shorts I have no other suggestions.

Did you talk to Novak? I would assume the ESC would be under warranty so they should replace it.

What kind crawler? If its a losi, they eat brushed combos for lunch.

i dont no how hot it got.i touched it cold to the touch other than that i only run it ten minutes if even that!thanks anyhow.its venom running gear so i would think everything is stock.never been used.the guy never finished it.
