Default Do I need a CCBEC w/MMP or BRXL?

Well I'm used to running an external CC BEC on all my rigs scale and comp just to get that 7.4V torque and speed. Although I've been into crawling for just over 2 years I still consider myself a noob until I can fully understand the ins and outs of all electronics involved and to build a kit without instructions.

I'm building a TF2 at the moment running a 7950TH steer and a 645MG shifter coupled with either a MMP or a BRXL. Most people say the BRXL doesn't require an external BEC why is this? And would I have issues with the BRXL running dual servos without a CC BEC?

If I run the MMP I'm definitely going to run a CC BEC. With the BRXL I'll have to wait until John gets em back in stock...I'm about to receive a Holmes CM35T for the TF2 on the way.
