Default Does having two esc double the bec ratings

I was just thinking does having two esc in my xr10 double the bec ratings? I'm going to have it with 4ws. I know adding a cc bec will be the best option and something I'm going to do but was just curious

Running 2 BEC's into one RX is a bad idea, as unless the voltages are exactly (which they are un-likely to be) the same there is a good chance that you will fry something most likely one of the ESC's or the RX.

Safer and more reliable to go with a decent external BEC.

I ment the bec inside the esc. I'm gonna run two tekin fxr esc in my xr10 with a y connector into my throttle channel and was wondering if it would double the bec but doesn't really matter since I'm gonna run a cc bec

No, in fact if you don't disconnect one of the ESC's BEC wires you'll likely damage the ESC due to overvoltage.

Since you're going to run an external BEC, just disconnect the internal BEC circuit and then you won't need to worry about damaging your ESC. We need to do this all the time on our brushless race Clods as they use dual ESC's.

My previous statement is written on the assumption that you were using both internal BEC . Although holds true for any combination of internal or external BEC.

2 BEC's (internal or external or combination of both) into one RX will almost certainly result in the magic smoke being let out of something (RX or one or both ESC).

I have never damaged anything by running both speedos without pulling the red wire. You will not over volt anything. The internal BEC on the speedos will not double up amperage. You will need to run an external BEC to do it right and supply enough voltage and amperage to your servo.

Just make sure to pull the red wires on the esc only if you are running an external BEC.

This is just my experience. If anyone else can offer any other experience to disprove my findings please post up.
