So how does one mix the throttle and elevator channel so there is either a little lag or no lag between front and rear motor? I have so far mixed them using the gear switch and mixing program number 3. No matter what I do there is lag. I mean the rear axle starts spinning when the throttle is on half power both in forward and reverse. And the rear spins about half as slow as the front. But when using the sticks they spin same speed. Motors are of the same number of turns and pinions are also same. I was thinking of calibrating the escs again with the remote, but does that help. This is my first dual esc setup so please guide me what to do and check for. |

I used to use the mix in a jr8103 alot and I had to make sure the mix was set at 100 percent. Also if you use two mixes for a similar function one will have to be set at half the value to get them to both react the same such as taileron mixing. Rcuniverse has a many threads on using mixes. I managed to use all 8 channels of the jr with the help of a programming guide that is in the back of the manual for the ultrastick 40 by hangar 9. I bet you could look at this as pdf on Horizon hobbies site.

Right. But that thread didn't quite answer my question. Why is it doing that lag? Everything is set to 125%(mix rates) and EPAs are also 150%. I have done factory reset for both esc's but still there is lag. I mean I can live with it when going forward, but reverse is same. When reversing the front motor is first to engage. Also I think that this situation puts more stress on first motor as extra pulling mass and rear as dragbrake holding. I'm out of ideas. |
