1-Are both FX-r's running the same firmware version? 2-Do both FX-R's have the same settings? If yes to both, try swapping the FX-R's and see if the issue is with the motor or the ESC. I'm assuming you calibrated both FX-R's? Did you have anything else different between the front & rear through the TX? It may also be the rear motor has more timing, thus it will be lower performance when in reverse (since it will be more retarded in timing). |

There is not many ways a motor can do this, so I am gonna guess its the speedo. Since the motor is fine in forward, and then exhibits two different symptoms (slow start and less power)....it would lead me to believe something is wrong some where else. Like Charlie said, try swapping the ESC around. If the problem moves to the front, then the issue is the speedo. It may just be a setting on it, though you may of blown the reverse fets in the speed control. I doubt its timing.........even if it retarded 12 degrees, it would not be as a drastic of a change from one way to the other. Later EddieO |

Im not sure i got the same firm ware in doth esc,s i will have to look into that. But both are set the same and calibrated and my radio is set the same for both. But on the main screen when i throttle up the lines on the chanels go up indication power. chanel 4 aka rear lags on that screen in comparison to chanel 2 aka front, but it lags on the screen in forward and reverse does this give any ideas as to what it could be? |

I would pull it all out, reflash the speedos.......reprogram the radio. I always calibrate my speedos one at a time, with the other not hooked up. It's a pain, but it prevents any interference from the other unit while you are setting up. Jim from Tekin gave me this tip..... If that doesn't work, and you've done the motor swap to eliminate the motors from the problem...something is more than likely broke and needs to be fixed. Later EddieO |
