Default Keeping electrical clean & dry - fishing tackle box ?

Anyone see any reason why this won't work?

Its one of this mini plastic fishing tackle box organizers that I cut the trays out of to keep the electronics clean and 'fairly' dry. I'm not needing anything water/air tight but just water resistant and mud resistant since I live in Oregon and will be playing/crawling probably in all type of terrain and weather with my Tuber.

BTW this is how I'm planning on wiring it for now.

That looks like a good idea. Its a lot easier then using balloons or plastic bags or at least i think it would be. It might make mounting a little bit of a hassle, but then again it might make mounting a little easier do to the fact that there is only one thing needed to be mounted. I might have to try this on mine thanks for the idea.

Watch out for over heating being that it's in an inclosed case with no vents

Rick, I used to run my EVX in tupperware, you need to watch out for overheating, as you could imagine. It might be ok, it might not.

Mine wasn't well sealed enough, and I got some water in and my EVX was pretty unhappy.

Give it a try, but be careful with the heat, I didn't have any heat issues because it was 30* when I was running it

Two words: Medicine boxxx.

Pic:

Pros: Strong as hell. 89 cents. Lid with strong joint. Looks as if it'll last a while before separating. Even then, some sealant will do the trick. Drill four holes for the wires, seal with some g00p, and you're set.

Cons: None that I have found yet. I've been running this all summer and most of this winter without any overheating.
