|  ? about traxxas esc
Im trying to start a new txt crawler project...this will be my first time at crawling but i have an traxxas xl-1 speed control laying around. Do you think it would work with the stock txt-1 motors. thanks guys

I don't see why not... I know they work with a pair of stock Mabuchi 27 turns...

The stock motors are 27 turns. Any ESC that supports 13T motors will work when powering both of the stock motors. (1/2 the number of turns = the ESC rating needed for dual motors) The xl-1 can only support down to 17 turns. If you were to run a single motor then you will have no problems. In my crawler I run a GD600 gear reduction box with a single motor. This allows for longer run times and great amounts of torque.
