Default Waterproofing electronics.... questions...

Ok i have been around for awhile and i have seen the tupaware and balloon methods but i was wondering about the ECS.... wont it overheat, i mean my ECS on my tlt doesnt get all that hot but with my computer expierence even just a lil airflow over the Heat sinks makes a huge diff. so i was wondering how ppl combat this heat ishue.

I use to bash my maxx with a balloon on it which was doubled. And it did great. also ran it in mudd water and did great. I would do it if you need to or just buy a waterproof esc. One for the tlt would only run you like 54 bucks for the lrp. I think thats the name of it. There are other out there though.

Default Balloon

I run balloons to. Never had a heating problem. Run in the mud and water.

ya i tried to run a Lrp Quantum AI plus reverse... the throtle curve was horrbile, and the reverse was a disgrace.. it had no power in reverse and had a huge lag between forward and reverse.... i may go for the balloon thing.

i think your talking about that part that has like fins ? if so put it in a lil tupperware box and have the fins stick out threw slits then fill the open space with hotglue so no water gets in but the fins still get cool air over them ?

Back in the day, I would do the balloon trick, but used unlubed condoms. They are impermiable and pretty thick. Then I would fill the hole with rubber cement (which sometimes would not stick well). While drying, I would only loosely have the hole closed with zip-ties. Once the cement cured, I would cinch them down. I have not done it in a long time, but back then it worked well.
