| Need help wiring a 55t Lathe motor....Please
First of all, I like to say I feel like a real idiot asking this question. I did do a search and found one thread to what I was looking for but it still wasn't clear to me (that's why I feel like an idiot. ). I just got a Integy lathe 55T motor. I will be using this on a Emaxx and a EVX esc with the 1 battery mod. My question is, how the hell do you properly wire this motor ? I dont know which tab to solder the wires to (it looks like their is about 6 tabs on this motor and know markers.) ? Which is negative, which is positive ? Do I need caps and if so, where do I solder them to ? Etc., etc. Again sorry for the stupid question but my only experience with motors, besides the Titans, are with all brushless motors and cheap "can" motors. So please, please, if somebody, anybody can help me out here and also put up some detailed pics, it would be greatly appreciated by me. Thanks in advance. If you look close on the bell end, right near the center of it, where the bearing/bushing supports the shaft, you'll find a little + on one side.. Soldering to anything on that side of the bell end is the positive... It doesn't really matter about where you solder as long as you don't interfere with the brush and spring movement... As for caps, I'm not too sure if the come with them built in or not... |

You will need (3) .1uf caps. I usually put them on one side of the motor. The side facing the axle tubes. Solder (1) across pos/neg, (1) from the case ground tab to neg, and (1) from the case ground tab to pos. Connect your wet noodle wires to the pos and neg tabs on other side of motor.
