| Did I choose the wrong radio?
I ordered an Airtronics MX-3 to use on my first ever kit build. I wanted a 3-ch radio so I could use 4ws. But after looking at the manual, I think I may have made a mistake. Will this radio work for me?

No you made a good choice FM is far better than AM by a long shot. You will have to do this mod though. See: http://www.rccrawler.com/mx3.htm I snagged one off ebay and dont care about rear steer since I'm running in the 2.2 class . But this is a great mod if you need it. |

If, for some reason, you don't wanna do that mod and end up looking for a new radio, the JR XR3 has a 3-position 3rd channel that is perfect for rear steer. They are discontinued and were replaced by the XR3i which only has a 2-position 3rd channel. Check for them on Ebay. Just make sure it's the XR3 and not the XR3i.
