| Think my TR2 is toast
It started getting glitchie where it would suddenly lose power, but I could fiddle with the 2 power wires out of the back and it would come back on. Well now it won't come on at all. I think its just a loose wire inside but I don't see how I can open the case. I've only had it for 2-3 months but I put a deans plug on it so there goes the warrenty :-( Is this a common problem with the TR2? If I have to get a new one I'm not sure if I should get another TR2 or get a moped. I don't want to get a new esc that is not up to par with the TR2 since I've already gotten used to it, but I don't want to have to deal with this again. The super rooster is a little high at $139, but maybe its worth it? Last edited by TxCruzr; 08-03-2006 at 10:57 PM. |

I see the 2 tiny screws on it but there is no way I have a screw driver that small.

Well I opened up the case....had to cut a notch on the back of the heatsink and found that the on/off switch had popped off of the board. Nice to know I payed $80 for something thats going to fall apart after 4-5 runs I'm going to try to solder it back on, hope I don't fry the board Think it might work....I'm liking Dez's find on the moped more and more.
