Default Anyone tried this motor by kershaw

I just saw this motor on ebay heres the specs, has anyone tried it?

  • bolts into the same place that any 550 sized motor fits
  • 5 pole armature for outstanding torque
  • 6,600 RPMs at 14.4V
  • High torque 456.4 gm-cm with a stall-torque figure of 1632 gm-cm
  • 37mm dia x 55mm. 1/8" shaft is 1/2" long. 3/16" push on terminals
  • Purchase includes 2 motors, wires and capacitors
  • Also available with 80T spur gear for $12. Just request from seller before payment

Q: hi.. which T (integy 55t integy 65t....) are paragonable this motors? will work also at 7,4 volt in a normal clod buster? thanks

A: I would think that these motors are much more powerful. The 55T and 65T motors are a very slow 3 pole motor. The Crawler 550 Revolvers have 5 poles, a longer can and lower turns, which all add up to more torque and power. Yes they will work with 7.2V. Dan Fischer, Kershaw Designs

over priced, crapily labeled johnson long can motors.
I think they go new for about $7.99 each.

they have lots of torque, very low rpm on 7.2 volts and no where near the run time of a lathe.

they arent that bad of a price 44.00 shipped for two, Just abou the same price of two lathes shipped i was just kinda wondering cause pretty soon here i am going to need another motor! But i also have a black and decker motor!

EDIT: i pulled the motor out and was comparing it to a old speed gem and im betting that its a johnson 550,it has a sticker on it that says johson and some numbers, it isnt really but a tad bit bigger and looks just like the jonhsons i have seen before, im going to pull the pinion off and try to fit it in my stampede trannie, it fits but the pinion that was on it was WAY to big

WHOA!! thats an expensive $3 motor!

I like how he has it named the Revolver 550 Crawler. That motor will suck on 6 cells. You wont get any power, it doesnt have the amp draw, and the rpm's will be waaaay to low to use.

Same motor http://www.eaelec.com/mprice.htm Johnson 545

They need a rewind before they are useful on 6 cells.

save your money.if you want some grab a powerwheel out of the garbage and take them off of it.they might not fit in your clod. the extra length is a problem with linkage.plus the output shafts are way long.
