Default Dual Motor ESC - Single Motor

So i'm looking to buy an esc and I was wondering if a dual motor ESC is capable of running a single motor? It would be much appreciated if you please dont reply with "just get a single motor one". I have researched and have reasons for asking, Just a question.

Thanks alot,
RP

Which dual motor ESC are you looking at?

I believe they can all run a single motor.

No specific focus at the moment though this is an idea: TowerHobbies.com | INTC23610 C23610 Integy Rock Crawler Water Resistant Edition ESC w/Brake

I'm currently running the outcry dual motor ESC with a single motor in my TF2. No problems.
I de-soldered one positive and negative leads from the board for cleaner wiring.

I'm running a Tamiya teu-103bk esc with a single motor and no problems, just make sure any low turn motors are within the esc's limits. The 103bk is rated for 2 silver cans(2x27turns) and I'm running a hpi 15t firebolt with no problems.
