Default How do you store your Lipo batt?

I know Lipo care and all but im just wondering where you guys store your lipo? I have mine in a lipo sack and in a drawer at my desk in my basment.

Im thinking of moving it to a metal toolbox, just to be safe. I am always paranoid it will explode and burn my house down

I use an ammo box when I store them inside and carry them in a lipo bag.

in a giant pile on the corner of my work bench..... with I charge/balance ect I put them in a lipo bag, and once they are charged I keep them in either a lipo bag or ammo box. dont see much of a danger if they are treated properly and stored/balanced correctly.

Usually in a LiPO bag whether charged or discharged.
I normally put them away charged assuming they will self discharge over time. Thus, I have a bit more time to store them before they are over-discharged.

Is lipo temperature sensitive? Can I leave it in the garage during wintertime?

They are in my tool box. I charge them on the core support of my pickup till we move and I can find my power supply that's in storage. Then I'll charge them on the work bench. I guess I'm a rebel that doesn't worry about the hype. There are millions of lipo batteries out there and just how many have gone up in smoke?

1st I put them on my charger and run it on storage mode for the lipo, then I just stick them on my bench out of the way. I've been doig this for almost 5 years now and have'nt had a problem yet.

Seven years for me and never had any issues with over 30 battery packs.

Only issue I ever had was storing them fully charged, some of those puffed so now I bring them to storage and never had one puff again.

Maybe I should elaborate on my choice some, one of the reasons I store mine in an ammo can is because my 4y.o. can't open it. For quite some time I would just leave them out (usually in the bag) after I put a storage charge on them but with an active child I thought he might drop one or drop something on one and somehow puncture it. I was never (that) afraid of them spontaneously combusting. Although, I admit these days some sit charged and some sit discharged for a week or two. I used to be anal about getting them to a good voltage as soon as I got home.

A week or two won't hurt them. It's when you put them away for several months where you may encounter a problem.
