I own and sell them. DAMN good charger, the best I have ever owned for the money. I have the 7i which is 7 amp max, 5s lipo, 25 cell nimh. The 5i is also a very nice charger that is basically just 5 amp charge rate as the difference. The 5i is near impossible to get (for me), in the U.S. there are almost 500 backordered from the importer (presold) and they only ship a few hundred to the states at a time.

But, both chargers are awesome, easy to use, and have nimh and nicad charging mode presets already built in. Hyperion also makes very good and easy to use Lipo balancers that work flawlessly with or without a charger.

JRH, this charger also does lipo? what batt would you recomend for my bl set up for my clod, i got that from you holmeshobbies.com , and the novak ss 5800? i would like to buy maybe 2-3 packs and be able to use it on my brushed 55, 65 and 75 lathes if that is possible, i have to many nimh batteries to get rid of them at once, close to 20 packs

hmmm, thats a tough order. I would keep the mah above 2000 for safety reasons. For the clod a 2 cell pack would be dandy.

For the ss5800, you will need a bigger pack like 4800 or 8000 mah. That motor draws more amperage. To tell you the truth I have gotten away from all the new lipo tech, as it changes so fast and the "new" 20C cells are huge and hard to mount.
