Itll work but you'll need to upgrade everything from hardened gears,toSlipper to Spur, Drivelines... Axial Hardened Diffs, ... cause it will all break...

I have 2 3000 kv ez runs and in a axial trans based rig they cog like crazy so they went in to my 2 slashs.. They are good motors or at least I have had good luck with them..

If you do not wanna crawl just full throttle assults then slap that motor in there and go.. Mine work great in my slashs for the sand and hill climbs..

You are missing what everyone is saying dude. They are not going to crawl very well because they are going to COG (kind of a shudder down low). If you want to crawl you need something that will be nice and smooth.

I have an SCX10 based cage style rig, which runs an ezrun 10.5 turn sensorless motor. It is waiting a rebuild, and when it is rebuilt it will be getting a new motor, why? Because it cogs badly, especially when climbing. |

EZ Run are not junk. They are not the best on the market either but take them for what they are..... cheap alternatives to pricier motors. The motors you asked about are just NOT good for your type of rig or style. Cogging is an issue with most (not all) censorless brushless motors. I run a cheap 10.5t censored with a Castle MMP and it does pretty good especially for the price. Got a motor from HobbyPartz.com. Now if all you are doing is some trail runs and hills climbs with out anything technical then you should be fine and I would go with the 3900 over the 4300. It will have plenty of wheel speed and fairly better torque.

The cheap way to go would be a brushless hobbies ESC with a valuehobby motor. Should be about $100 when all is said and done. | |

| This can be done with many different Combos. Lots of different variables to look at. I've broken parts on rigs that people ask me how in the world did i do that. Within the last few months or so i have gotten out of my Go Fast Mentality and learned to be slower and more technical in my throttle control. I can endorse both Castle and E-Z Run ESCs as i have run and still run both. It has a lot more to do with other details such as....... Vehicle weight Type of vehicle Wheels and tires Terrain Motor size and kv rating Battery used 3s breaks more then 2s Drivessafts (plastic vs metal) Throttle control (trigger finger) Internal or External BEC ( strongly endorse CC BEC) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note (Phablet) |

EZYrun motors are almost bullet proof, I have run them in almost everything. Yes they will crawl if you use a high amp ESC,BUT remember low turn motors are fast but not torquey so gear correctly and keep an eye on temps. Wheel size makes a difference to racers call it "rollout" just think of the wheel/tyre being the last gear. I have tried the "Crawler combo with the 35 amp ESC and it cogged like crazy....swapped to a 70 amp hsp ESC and never had a problem. You get what you pay for but fun can be cheap and very cheerful if you start with the basics and move in small steps toward your desired result. Best of luck |

One thing I like about the hobbywings is they are water resistant out of the box. I have a 1600kv and 35a-sl Es. The combo works great.
