Default servo saver

Hi All,

Just wondering what servo saver are you guys running on crawler such as TXT and Clod?

Reason being we have these servo saver from Kimbrough which are OK, but still not strong enough. And Just wondering if its OK to actually forget the saver and use the alloy servo horn for steering purpose....

Please share your view....i am using Hitec 5955 at the front ..and Airtronic Sanwa VX at the rear for steering

Thanks

Tom

I don't run a servo-saver at all... I'm not going fast enuff to warrant one in my books... The only servo's I've stripped out have been a Futaba S3010 and an el-cheap-o ACE stocker... My 645MG doesn't seem to mind an Ofna steering horn from an 8th scale buggy...

So i am about to give up my servo saver for my Hitec servo....

do you guys think its OK? I mean it is really costly to burn one of these high end servo...but the saver does not provide enough strength to turn the front wheel!! please further advise !

ok look at it this way a servo saver is for when you wheel bumbs in to some thing it wont strip you servo out. It is constly moveing. in crawling your ether going left, right, or stright the servo saver takes away the truning power you have with that exelent servos but if you use horn you gett all the maxx power out of your servo and trust me they help you out of some stick sitiuration. sorry for spelling mistakes.

Make SURE the steering does not bind or try to travel too far. Otherwise you are safe without a servo saver. Your only worries should be when the rig takes a large tumble. I have yet to break a servo on any of my crawlers and I never run servo savers.
