Default Micro sidewinder?

Can the micro sidewinder handle a regular size 2800kv CC on a 2s lipo? I see them all the time run regular size brushed, but wasn't sure about brushless!

I don't think so. You can get the regular 1/10 sized sidewinder and it'll work. I think a sidewinder micro would have a really hard time with the 1/10th sized motor. I'm not 100% sure but I wouldn't chance it. That's just my opnion though and I'm not an electronics expert.

No, the ESC needs double the power to handle a "540" size brushless motor. The brushed motors these little guys handle in crawlers have a very high inductance and resistance compared to equal size brushless motors, so they are a kitten to control and the Sidewinder Micro works fine.

Brushed 540 is OK with crawler speeds. Brushless 540 not ok. At low speeds the BL motor will pull massive current at any voltage or gearing.
