Most probably it's your ESC running in reversed mode. Most ESCs have reduced reverse speed by default. The solution is to reverse the output on your transmitter and switch place on the motor cables. After that you might also see if the ESC can be reprogrammed to provide 100% speed in reverse too. |

Depending on the rig, the motor may need to have "reverse rotation" (easy to fix) but also has some timing in it which could also lead to a difference in speed between forward & reverse. Try out Olle's suggestions, if it's still an issue, you will need to check the timing on the motor. | |

I think the first thing you should do is check to see if your esc has status lights telling you what's happening. On mine when I trigger forward I get a green light, reverse gives a red light, neutral is amber. If I get a red light when going forward, I know I've got it wired and/or programmed backwards. Even tho it's moving in the right direction. |

The terra claws are sealed can motors so the problem would have to be in the esc/tx settings.

I had the same issue when building my XR10 with a Novak M2. Ended up he only way to fix it was to swap the motor leads down at the motors. Ended up + to - and - to + but it works flawlessly now.
