Post Castle link ESC detection problems

I have a couple mini-t's with mambas in them, both 6800 motors. I got a castle link and downloaded the software and hooked it to the ESC's and nothing. It can't detect the speed controlers. I have looked everywhere and no one lists how to hook them up. Do you have the switch on or off, battery connected or disconnected? WTF is up, it's beginning to piss me off. Someone help.

It should show the catle link even when the speed controler is not pluged in. There is a red led on the link that lights up and the castle window shows a green square next to usb. If not the problem is further up the chain than the castle link.

you need to plug in the usb first, then the link to it, a red led should be lit. then plug the esc into the link and then switch on the esc. all kinds of leds should flash

DJ (Colquitt) always laughs when I bring my laptop. He says it is like hooking my rig up to a dyno.
