I saw this last week but steered clear after reading this thread.

Hitec 5995tg Robot Servo Fix - Help save your robot servo from overheating

It's from 2006 so maybe the overheating problem was fixed? I assumed not since it was said in that thread that the 5995 was disco's back then.

I saw that too. Thanks. I'm really more into cool weather when I'll go out. I would think 6 yrs later it might not be a problem. I will keep an eye on it though.

Is anyone using one of these 5995's from the recent servo city sale? I got two and both are already acting up. Each worked good for a couple packs, but now have zero power and stall instantly. A different BEC didnt cure it and a 7950 works fine. Could be something in my setup I'm missing, but I'm curious if anyone else has any from this sale in operation.

I'm running 1 5995tg servo in a comp rig and it too stalls out time to time. Other than getting a 7950 have you found a fix?
