| TQ3 mod + Radio Shack
I didn't want to use the normal On Off On Toggle to mod my TQ3 and started looking through radio shack for the parts. After going through about 4 different set up I found on that works. It doesn't have the return to center that would be nice but it works for the rear proportional steering. I'll post some pics later for a visual but do the mod as normal for rear steer but use a 5K - Ohm Audio-Taper Potentiometer. Radio Shack #271-1720. You'll have to cut the turning post because it's like 1 1/2" long. Specs on the part and it only costs $2.99. Resistance: 5K ohms + 20% tolerance Rated Power: .25 watts Sliding Noise: <47mV Total Rotation: 300 degrees + 5degrees Mounting Hole: 5/16" (8.2mm) The others I tried either didn't work or went straight from left to right with no centering available. I used a stock TLT 24t Spur for the steering wheel that works just perfectly in my hand. Again pics tomorrow. Have to go to work. :-( |

here is the pics of the rear steer I did. As I said before you do the same mod as the other just add this part instead of the toggle switch. Modding it. fitting it in. Done and a few more shots. I hate the flash sometimes. Thats it hope it helps. jj |
