Im currently at work I think what it asks for:

Cell count- which i know is 4
Amps- I have no clue (guessing this is the rate i will charge at?)
Mv(or Ma)- I have no clue (how the battery is detected finish charging?)

if i could get some help with correct inputs for these provisions that would be great.

I would charge it at 0.2 amps and the charger should auto detect when the battery is charged. If not discharge the battery completely and set it to 220mah

Most newer chargers want to know:

Cell count
Battery chemistry
Mah

From there they figure out when to shut down.

In general, if they ask for a "charge rate", use "1C" which is the Mah/1000. Thus a 5500mah pack charges @ 5.5A for "1C", a 220mah pack charges @ .2A for "1C". They should charge in ~1 hour (if run to a reasonable LVC) unless they are out of balance.

Yes, you can charge at higher amp rates, but everytime you do you run the added risk of shortening the life of the pack.

For LiPO, you should almost ALWAYS balance charge (except for a 1S pack....).

Great! thanks guys!.......should upon arrival of my new batteries drain them all till the truck no longer moves? and then re-charge.......i will have 3 of the 4.8v 220's.....is it necessary to let a battery rest after a complete discharge?......only reason im asking is because i have been flying micro helis for a bit and those require a cool down between charges.....

like this:
charge/cool/play/cool/charge

is this same method necessary?

Drain the NiMH until you see the performance drop off, no need to run "until the rig stops" as they are down enough.
If they get warm when in use, letting them sit a few minutes is good before charging.
I never let them cool before use after charging.

Charlie, thanks for the drain clarification and charge recommendations.

Much appreciated!
