Default tweeking out

Ok so this may be a stupid question but I have a savox servo, tekin fxr, integy 45t motor, sr300, futaba dig servo and 2s lipo. The whole setup is tweeking out when I turn either direction fully. I am NOT running a Bec, I don't have one and I thought I would be ok. Does anyone have any idea? Any help would be awesome. Thanks for looking.

You need a bec, savox servos pull lots of power.

While an external BEC won't hurt, check one thing first. See if the TX EPA's are set so the servo stops just before the steering binds. If the EPA's are not set correctly, you will kill the BEC or servo if you up the power.

Each setup can be different even when you try to mirror things. i say go bec. That way you can actually get more grunt out of your servo as I am guessing the rx or even the esc may have it at 4.7v.

I'm only running 1.9s and I think adjusting that helped out. If it still does it I will eventually invest in a Bec.

What is your gearing? My FXR doesn't even get warm with a 35t and 3s. And I'm another 1 for adding a BEC. Only $20 and a ton more power to the servo.

+1....I run dual FX-R's with 3S & 35T's in a heavy 2.2 comp rig, no heat issues.

You are likely either overgeared or have binding in the drivetrain.

You may want to drop that down to a 13 or 14 tooth. If you are crawling you'll want the extra gearing. Most crawlers run 13-16/87. So you may be a bit under geared. Just slap a smaller pinion in there and give it a shot. Also like Charlie said, check for any binding. That will heat things up real quick.

The BEC built into the fxr does not like 3s. I run my fxr's on 4s into 30t handwounds pack after pack without heat issues. pull the red wire, add a BEC and the heat issues will go away. If it was a gearing or binding issue is would not go away with 2s.
