Default 2S1P vs 2S2P (etc)

This is prob a noob question but what does the 1 or 2 P mean on the specs of a battery?

It talks about how the pack is assembled with the cells inside. I wouldn't worry about it. Worry about the voltage and c rating

oh ok, thanks. The pack I'm eyeing is a 5000 mAh, 7.4v 65C

2S1P = 2cells in series, 1cell in parallel

2S2P = 2cells in series, 2cells in parallel

So a 4000mah 2S1P would have 2 4000mah cells in series.

A 4000mah 2S2P would have 4 2000mah cells (2 sets paralleled then those 2 sets hooked in series)

Hope this makes sense.
