Default Futaba 3pmx reverse problems HELP!!!

I have a axial wraith with 4ws so I got the 3 pmx (transmitter and receiver) stock esc. got everything working except reverse. It will reverse but only has one speed like its always floored no matter how little I touch the trigger. What could this be? Radio? Esc? Forward works fine.

Did you calibrate the ESC to the RX?
Do you have anything special set in the TX for throttle?
What ESC (I don't know what the Wraith has for stock)?

NOTE: Futaba radios usually need the throttle channel reversed to make the ESC work correctly.

Well it's not my esc.. I plugged in my old stock receiver and transmitter and everything worked fine. It has to be my transmitter or receiver? Any suggestions which could cause this?

Read Charlie's first question again. Then answer it.

Have you played with the "radio calibration (ADJNT)" setting (P60 in the PDF version of the manual) in the 3PM-X?

I've seen this problem with a lot of Spektrum and later model Futaba users because the function is available through the front end of the radio.

The radio calibration is a function that you MUST complete once you start it. If you don't complete the sequence of the calibration then the radio will play up. As an example, if you calibrate the throttle side of channel 2 but not the brake side in the sequence the the above action will occur. You can still calibrate the ESC to the radio but the action wil be like the ESC/Radio was not successful.

Reseting the model memory will not fix the problem.
