Hello, You might want to check out the Traxxas velenion motor w/esc.(brushless with a 3500 KV 10.5 turn motor. It is fully waterproof (meaning you can submerge it with dirty water, ect.). What type of ESC brushed or brushless? Castle Creations makes the sidewinder 3 that is waterproof(brushless) and they also make the mamba monstor pro 2 (brushless, but a little to powerful for your case). Know if you want a brushed they also make different models from the same brands that I named. In my opinion I would go with the Traxxas Velenion 3500 KV 10.5 motor with a ESC, it supplies plenty of power and go under water with it. But remember if your running Lipo batteries, THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF, a high mah nim-h battery should work just fine. Hope this helps with your purchase! |

Castle sidewinder is a good choice, you can run brushed or brushless if you have a castle link to program it. The traxxas vxl is a far cry from a 45t brushed motor, it won't even be close to what you were looking at. Ill probably go with a brxl on my next build just for the high voltage capability.

Sidewinder SV3 is a good ESC and completely waterproof. I have run it completely submerged multiple times and it never fails me. It is also about 40 dollars cheaper |

I got tired of waiting for the brxl too and decided to waterproof a tekin fx-r. Pretty easy to do (just dip it in plasti-dip) and it's a pretty decent esc. You can also do the same with the axial ae-2, bit it's a bit trickier to plasti-dip.

Holy dead thread revival Batman! But anyhoo, I really like the fact that w/ the Sidewinder 3v you can run brushed and brushless motors. Too bad about not being able to run sensored brushless motors though. Sensored brushless seems to be the best of both worlds for good speed and trailing. Tekin is expensive as hell but I know you pay for quality stuff. |

If you don't need 3s a used Twinhammers esc is great for trailtrucks, waterproof, drag brake, and lipo cutoff. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2 |
