Default Sidewinder SV2 BEC?

I made an LED system to light up my wraith and it runs directly off the receiver (6V) but when I installed my new Sidewinder SV2 the lights are really dim.. They work fine with a Traxxas XL5 ESC... Does the SV2 only put out 5V? Or is there something wrong with mine?

Yea I believe the SV2 outputs 5.1v for some stupid reason and is not adjustable.

Wow that sucks... So that means servo power is dumbed down too? Is it only the SV2 or are all castle esc's 5v?

I didn't find their specs, but I believe all CC ESC's have a 5volt internal BEC.
I am not aware of being able to adjust any of them.

The higher end units are adjustable, I know that my MMP is adjustable through the Castle link.

I was curious about this too, and I was wondering if I would be able to run 3s with my traxxas 12t. The motor can only handle 8.4v, so would I be safe with the internal BEC?

All the Castle internal BEC is crap.... They are only good to power the Rx.... Get a External BEC and be worry free....
