Default EXV + 2 Hitecs + 2 55T lather = bad performance

I am running an EVX with 2 55t lathes on my clod, I also have 4WS, so I have 2 Hitec 645 servos. For reference this is all on a clod with the CPT Claw chassis. I am also running 2 7.2v batteries (6-cell) and a TQ3 system (modded).

So when Im just sitting there, then turn either the front or rear wheels, the servos try to turn, but have nowhere near enough torque. Then when Im trying to crawl, it seems like it doesnt have enough power going through the system, and the servos wont turn the wheels. Also, when Im just driving it (not crawling) the rear wheels will sometimes turn, and the fronts will turn the other way and I cant straighten it out with the servos. Sometimes if I try and correct it it will work, but not always.

What am I doing wrong here?

The EVX only has a BEC current of 1.5 amps. You should run an receiver pack if you are going to be using dual steering servos.

Yes it will but the 645's still won't be all that, kindly a weak servo in my opinion.

Airtronics 359's are the servo's I've put on each axle of all three crawlers I've built. IMHO...MUCH better servo,200 oz. of torque, metal heat sink on the case and metal gears. They turn Moab XL's very well,I've been beating the crap out of mine for a good while now and they are still kickin butt.

sell the evx on ebay for 75 - 85 buyout and buy a tekin rebel 2, problem solved the tr2 has a 5a bec and you wont need a battery pack.
