| speed 500??? how many turns??
My question is how many turns do these brushed airplane motors have? How can i determine this? Rpm? Voltage? Reason being.. Is im building a super class just for having fun on the rocks.. And i dont want to spend too much. But also keep in mind i dont want to use integy 35t cans... Just trying to figure out how many turns they have or if i should lean torwards a 400 or 600. I found some nice escs for these planes that can take a 4 cell lipo for a brushed system and are as small as a sidewinder micro for a third of the price. |

While you may find flight ESC's for cheap, if they don't have: Drag brake Instant reverse You're sucking wind and will come back complaining about them. Regardless of the rig used in. Period. Either do it right, or don't do it. Enough said. Sorry. |

i dont use reverse. lol its a super. im not comp crawling anyways. drag brake, simple fix, or oldschool rather. harder springs for the brushes and brushes that have the serated ends. they look almost like... waves on the inside. im just really trying to figure out the rate of turns these aviation motors have. im most likely going to build my own. |

If your crawling you'll use reverse. As Charlie said, do it right or don't do it at all. Spend the money once and don't have the regret of wishing you'd done it the right way the first time. Its not all that expensive to get electronics for a crawler.

A regular 400 rotor will smoke in a clod. Go speed 600 size, and get a reverse rotation for the rear. If you can't find something you like in that size, there are options other than integy. You seem to be chasing a value motor, the TorqueMaster sport is the best value per dollar in the market and built to crawl.

Your motors are top notch. I have them in all of my crawlers and scalers but my brushless Wraith. You want a killer motor for a reasonable price HH is the way to go.

a 400 would smoke up in a clod eh? so i guess in my xr super i would have a ball of plastic on fire maybe. i was trying to figure out what turns these speed 500's and 600's have. so, with the esc,s i have in mind that a 35t or a pair of 40t could work with two escs... ill be running a 3s lipo. but.. if i really want reverse... i could have it. im serious though. i dont use reverse. and i havent run weights in any of my rigs ive had. thanks fot the reply holmes. greatly apreciated. to decased and smashed brxls and 45ts will do for me. |
